Job Description

Do you have VMware ESXi expertise and are you looking for a new opportunity, this could be for you We are currently looking for an enthusiastic IT Technical Architect with specific network and routing knowledge and skills to support the design, development and implementation of our projects and join our team.Purpose: To operate as part of a small highly motivated team that provides the system design, development, integration, implementation and support across multiple projects to our customers.Essential Skills & Experience;

  • VMware technical subject matter expertise with ESXi, vCentre, Clustering, High Availability, DRS vRealise, Update Manager, Hardening, Storage Integration, Extensive Trouble Shooting experience.
  • Have previous full system & software support role of IT Windows Server & Windows Exchange 2016 experience WDS, VAMT and SCCM.
  • A track record with File Server, SQL Server, Remote Desktop Services and Remote Application Services with IIS, Command Line Interface and Power-Shell scripting knowledge
  • Active Directory knowledge
  • Have implemented Group Policy Management
  • Expertise in Networking Infrastructure - TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, RRAS, WAN, RDP, Remote Management, Static Routes, Managed Switches (ideally CISCO trained), Firewalls CCNA or CCNP.
  • You have Windows 10 Administrator & Microsoft Exchange 2016 experience particularly around Availability Groups and Client Access Servers
  • Your conversant with Microsoft Office and Office 365
  • You have the following VMware, expertise - (ESXi 6.7)
  • VMware vServer
  • VMware VSAN
  • Understand A/V Endpoint Protection Maintenance, Symantec, McAfee, Sophos,
  • Ideally with Linux (Fedora)
  • You can prepare and maintain manuals and handbooks
  • Can communicate at all levels with internal & external stakeholders
  • Has a full understanding of data protection requirements with Veritas Backup Exec or Avamar Job scheduling, policy & disaster recovery
    • Desirable Skills & Expertise
  • Security documentation i.e. RMADS and SyOPs
  • Security hardening and NCSC and NIST procedures
    • Qualifications
  • CCNA or CCNP Certified CISCO Network Associate or equivalent Professional Network and Routing Qualifications
  • Full driving license
  • BSc Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent
  • VMware EXXi certified
  • Ability to adhoc travel within the UK
  • Certified Microsoft professional
