This position will play an integral role in building an evolving department, deliveringand implementing our procurement strategy.This will be a hands-on, dynamic role for someone with strong procurement skills, the ability to forge good relationships and with the ambition to continuously learn and be challenged. The role will be working within a small, but high performing team, withopportunities to shape the position and develop and grow within the company.This is a permanent position based in Egham, Surrey.Responsibilities Responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:

  • End to End Sourcing: identifying new suppliers, negotiating, implementing, managing agreements and suppliers for both key categories and some tactical procurement
  • Develop sourcing strategies for core categories defining how to move the business from decentralized buying to a centralized model
  • Leading supplier categorization and segmentation of a decentralized supply base to identify harmonization & rationalization of suppliers across Europe
  • Maintain strong sustainable relationships with existing key strategic suppliers and identify new potential partners through SRM
  • Develop, manage & monitor supplier performance for strategic suppliers in partnership with key stakeholders
  • Develop key stakeholder relationships and build procurements reputation as a trusted business partner
  • Conduct both traditional and e-sourcing activities across the key European countries
  • Support the ESDG strategies within procurement, with special focus on supplier diversity
  • Develop relationships with global procurement counterparts ensuring alignment with the global procurement strategies
  • Support the Head of Procurement with prioritisation based on the House of Procurement pillar strategies
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives through the evaluation of the supply chain & procurement
  • Drive innovation into the business, uphold company brand and leverage external expertise through external connections and networking
Qualifications The successful candidate will be able to exhibit the following competencies:
  • Experience sourcing, negotiating, implementing and managing small, medium, large and/or complex agreements, priorities and suppliers
  • Well versed in procurement tools and techniques
  • Coupa or equivalent procurement system user experience and knowledge
  • Category experience in any one of the following areas: IT, professional services, indirect procurement, Fleet
  • Good contractual knowledge
  • Project or Program management experience or knowledge of basic project management tools and ways of working
  • Strong Commerical acumen, varied negotiation techniques & influencing skills
  • Experience in creating impactful presentations with confident presentation skills
  • High numeracy and analytical proficiency
  • Ability to challenge and suggest improvements and influence outcomes
  • Experience working with stakeholders in customer focused and decentralized organization Experience in managing pan-European or global categories
  • High competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Office
  • MCIPS membership or equivalent is desirable but not essential
Languages
  • Required:English
  • German, French and Spanish beneficial
Location and Travel
  • UK/Egham, Surrey with some scope for hybrid working however office presence required at least 3 days per week
  • Must be able to work in the UK and travel to Europe
  • Initially travel may be required in Europe during the Coupa roll out and to the US for COUPA training (depending on the COVID guidelines and travel restrictions in place)
