We are looking for a professional who can be available to relocate to Ireland in order to be part of an international teamleading the proactive development of integrated solutions and supporting the overallsustainable growth and profit development of Kerry business within the bakery market for Europe.Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to business success by leading new products development in line with technical demand of customers, market trends, sales, food law regulations and business strategy.
  • Responsible for linking consumer and customer insights into application solution.
  • Execute the agreed value proposition with growth and potential growth customers including training own bakery market, commercial and product technology teams as necessary.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of existing industrial processes, technologies and application requirements within the industry and of any developments in the above stated areas.
  • In collaboration with technology, the candidate will optimise existing technology into existing applications, identify opportunities to extend the existing technologies into new applications, identify and create solutions that lead to multiple technologysales, identify and assess new technologies applicable in existing applications and support Kerrys technology PIP initiatives.
Qualifications and skills
  • Technical background with food science based degree with 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience and trade qualifications
  • Good technical understanding of functional ingredients (enzymes, emulsifiers, texture systems, natural and chemical preservative, etc.) in the application of yeast raised and fine bakery products
  • Significant experience in bakery application/R&D/NPD roles
  • Working knowledge of bakery industrial applications across multiple markets/geographies
  • Good knowledge of industrial production processes of bakery products including Bread, Fermented goods, Yeast raised laminated products etc.
  • Comprehensive knowledge/understanding of key ingredient (flour, flour, shortening, eggs, sugar, etc.) and functional ingredients, their interactions/synergies and their impact on bakery applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic bakery-related analytical equipment, this includes; thermal profiling, pH meter, viscosity (various methods), specific gravity, product dimension measurement, texture analyzer, dough rheology (by feel is fine), etc.
  • Good business and commercial understanding
  • Experience in customer interaction and customer driven technical support
  • Ability to interface with other business functions, especially sales, R&D technologists, and senior management level within the business provide technical support as required
  • Provide commercial support to industry partners in technological issues. Facilitate queries and provide advice in relation to our services to potential customers as appropriate
  • Reporting of non-conformances, incidents and near misses and implement corrective and preventative actions as required
  • Upscaling of laboratory experiments to assist in industrial production in customers premises
  • Fully mobilerole based in Naas but mobility to support sales focus and customer technical support across Europe & Russia Good - presentation skills<
