Through world-class research that expands minds and changes lives, they inspire individuals to succeed academically, socially and personally.DescriptionLead the Alumni Relations, Development (evolving to Philanthropy) and Operations teams to develop and support relationships with a growing body of philanthropic supporters, trusts, foundations, and a community of over 90,000 alumni in over 180 countriesaround the world.The post holder will lead the team in a collaborative and data driven way, on impactful and ambitious initiatives that develop and deliver the Alumni Relations and Philanthropy strategic plan (which in turn supports the University strategy).They will creatively bring together the right people, project information, and messaging to enhance engagement, make an impact, and ensure resources are appropriately deployed against priority areas.Specifically, the post holder will play a crucial part in maintaining and building new relationships with major donors and supporters, and will have a demonstrable track record in securing major gifts raising regular annual income. They will be an ambitiousindividual who has extensive fundraising knowledge and experience and possesses a strategic mindset. They will lead the Team in engaging audiences, cultivating and harnessing the power of networks across the world. They will encourage the team to foster existingand develop new relationships with alumni, supporters (including trusts and foundations), in order to secure regular and significant donations (or volunteering) to support key projects.ProfileDemonstrable track record in securing major gifts/ raising regular annual income Experience of developing and implementing a strategy and leading a team to deliver it. Evidence of being a confident communicator, able to produce exceptional written bids and letters, and be comfortable presenting to and working with senior stakeholders Demonstrable skills in relationship management - maintaining and building new relationships with major donors and supportersTrack record in managing impactful, engaging communication campaigns which deliver tangible resultsExperience of budget managementExperience working in higher education Experience of working collaboratively as part of an integrated marketing communications teamJob Offer£58,000 - £67,000 + free parking and Very flexible hybrid working
