The Database and Donor Research Officer is responsible for the management and enhancement of alumni and supporter data within the Philanthropy and Alumni Relations Group.Client DetailsMy client is ranked in the top 30 of all UK universities. Through world-class research that expands minds and changes lives, they inspire individuals to succeed academically, socially and personally.DescriptionTaking responsibility for the overall quality and accuracy of data held on the databaseImplementing a plan to improve the quantity and quality of dataDeveloping and running queries and reports and analysing dataSetting up and processing gifts from donors, including management of Gift Aid claimProactive in identifying and implementing new systems and processes to enable the work of the office to be carried out with ever greater efficiency and effectiveness, with the support of the Development Operations ManagerDeveloping and delivering training for other staff within the Office and assisting with queries as they ariseImplementing and managing a comprehensive programme of research on potential donors to the College, in collaboration with other members of the team. This will require the analysis of existing data and the use of a wide variety of information sourcesUpdating and managing potential donor information and developing and generating reportsWriting research profiles and briefings to support the work of all members of the teamProfileDemonstrable experience of managing a CRM systemAbility to design, generate, and maintain reports and dashboards, with strong analytical skillsStrong IT skills, with a good understanding of database architectureAbility to use and analyse internal and external resources, including data, to validate an idea and /or provide evidence for a case for supportExcellent communication skillsUnderstanding of data protection laws (such as GDPR and PECR) and their application to data management, fundraising and engagementKnowledge of fundraising regulations and their application to gift processingPrior experience working within alumni relations and philanthropy.Experience with project management, including the implementation of new systems or processes.Interest in and ability to identify and implement emerging technologies and innovations in database management.Job Offer£32,000 - £38,000 - 6 - 12 month contract
