Job Description

Wonderful opportunity offered by our client for an enthusiastic Groundsman to be part of a highly skilled and motivated team working on a prestigious family owned estate near Egham.You will work as part of a team and the work will be very varied requiring you to be flexible and practically minded as an important asset in the smooth running of the property. Hours of work are 08.00 to 17.00 5 consecutive days per week sometimes including weekends on a rota basis.Duties will include:

  • Cleaning of external furniture - seats, lights, bollards etc
  • Cleaning/jet washing pathways and gritting in winter
  • Checking and cleaning low level drains and gullies, windows and sills
  • Clearing debris from play areas, ponds, pools and lake
  • Organising refuse, cleaning bins etc
  • Clearing leaves and other light garden duties
  • Cleaning utility vehicles and garden machinery
  • Helping with events - moving furniture, helping with deliveries etc
    • No formal qualifications are required but candidates should:
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude
  • Be a good communicator, able to work independently or within a team
  • Have an enhanced DBS if possible
  • Have relevant experience from an estate or private household
  • Have a full, clean driving licence
  • Have some gardening knowledge
  • Have a basic understanding of property maintenance and mechanical knowledge
