Job Description

Job Title: MetrologistPosition Summary:We are currently seeking a qualified CMM Operator/Metrologist for a key role within our clients organization. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring precise measurement data to support various processes, including New Product Introduction(NPI) and manufacturing.Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee NPI, production, and annual revalidation activities.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to meet measurement requirements.
  • Actively participate in internal and external NPI meetings.
  • Develop gauge concepts to support accurate parts measurement.
  • Generate Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIRs) utilizing a range of tools such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Vision Measuring Machines (VMM), projectors, and hand tools for PPAP submissions and revalidation.
  • Conduct capability studies to facilitate PPAP submissions and revalidation.
  • Create measurement methods for in-process inspections.
  • Perform Gage R & R studies for in-process measurement methods.
  • Offer guidance on the application of Geometric Tolerancing, including Datum systems and controls.
  • Schedule, arrange, and verify equipment calibration on-site.
  • Manage the issuance and control of all measuring equipment on-site.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and condition of gauges.
  • Provide support to Quality Assurance (QA) and Tooling teams in measurement and investigative activities.
Skills & Experience:Essential
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and provide feedback on drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Willingness to travel as required by job responsibilities.
  • Possession of a valid full driving license.
  • Ability to collate, analyze, and report measurement data clearly to staff at all levels.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience with CMM programming and operation using PC-DMIS, including the ability to write, amend, and troubleshoot measurement programs.
Preferred
  • Experience in relevant industries.
  • Proficiency in creating programs for the VMM (Mitutoyo Quick Vision).
  • Proficiency in using Minitab for the production of capability studies and Gage R & R studies.
  • Familiarity with Mitutoyo Measurlink (SPC software).
Working Hours:
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:45 pm
  • Friday: 8:00 am – 12:30 pm
  • Overtime as required by business needs
