Job Description

Project Developer required for a world leading wind developers Edinburgh or Cork office. Reporting to the Head of Project Development, you would help manage numerous wind projects from initial concept to the point of hand over to the Construction ProjectManager, with a focus on the completion process and due diligence of acquisition projects. Experience with EIASalary Bracket: £40k - 65k negotiable, depending on experience.Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the planning process of renewable projects up to consenting and baseline assessment studies as part of project selection
  • Deliver the design, environmental and planning assessment requirements for renewable energy development
  • Manage baseline environmental and constraint assessments whilst enabling interaction between project team
  • Responsibility and management of development project within budget to prepare for build state including any appeal processes or discharge of planning conditions
  • Manage tender and procurement processes
  • Meet financial, technical and other key targets through project team coordination
  • Plan, monitor and report upon all phases of project life cycle
  • Adhere to health and safety standards and all relevant legislation when delivering projects
  • Manage and report on project risk with effective liaison with management for notable developments
  • Take part in contract negotiation including consultancy contracts, land agreements with commercial input to maximise value
  • Liaise with internal & external stakeholders such as planning authorities, landowners, statutory bodies etc
  • Develop and manage capex, opex and budgeting with provision of assistance in preparing business cases for investment with presentation to senior management for investor approval
Skills & Experience:
  • 2 - 3 years experience in onshore wind
  • Degree or Qualification in Engineering/Planning or similar discipline
  • Experience of Wind Project Development up to post-consent
  • Understanding of relevant planning regulations
  • Knowledge of project risks, management and project commercials
  • Experience negotiating with land owners
  • Experience managing consultants and project delivery within time and budgetary targets
