Meraki Talent is working closely with a well-known educational body on the position of VAT Manager.This position can be fully home based depending on the location of the successful applicant but as their main base is in Edinburgh there would be an expectation for them to travel to the Edinburgh office once per month for team building efforts.The firm:You will be joining a business consisting of 1300+ employees with a growing finance team of 30 professionals - with include procurement, Finance Business Partners, and other financial operations staff such as Finance Analysts, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger,Payroll, Insurance, and of course Tax.This is a fast paced, evolving and highly commercial business with a real entrepreneurial spirit led from the top and is not your typical publicly funded body. The finance team services 3 different businesses lines which include Teaching, Commercial, andResearch, with each business line behaving very differently form the other.The role:The VAT Manager will play an integral role within the business, partnering with stakeholders across several business lines including Financial Control, Head of Finance, Head of Business, Head of Research, and other members of executive leadership team includingthe principal on projects and hypothetical aspects and detailed research.
