Job Description

Join us as a Technology Risk & Controls Assurance Manager

  • This is an opportunity for a passionate and driven individual to join us in our first line of defence function
  • Youll design, develop and undertake technology assurance activity on an end-to-end basis, identifying and addressing risks, and working collaboratively with the function to close identified gaps
  • Its a role that will see you building and influencing strong relationships with key and senior stakeholders across the bank , giving you an excellent platform to boost your profile
  • This role is available for a period of 12 months
What youll doYoull be playing a key part in implementing an effective and efficient technology assurance function, meeting all policy standard owner, legal and regulatory requirements and expectations. Youll also look to develop and improve assurance processes, proceduresand scheduling methodologies, to make sure that the global methodology and supporting processes are consistent, up to date and fully aligned with the banks policy framework, and any respective legal or regulatory requirements. Other key requirements include:
  • Leading and supporting the development and delivery of an annual risk-based technology assurance programme, to confirm that key policies and controls have been effectively implemented
  • Working to improve and support the assurance toolset to support a robust process that develops the right outcomes for the organisation
  • Developing and implementing integrated system solutions that drive efficiency savings, including the potential to utilise external assurance solutions to reduce cost
  • Articulating control weaknesses, risks and potential remediation in a report suitable for senior stakeholders
  • Maintaining and overseeing our annual technology assurance schedule, monitoring delivery and our overall governance and risk position
The skills youll needYoull have experience of working in, and knowledge of, a risk and controls environment, along with an understanding of the Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework. Youll also bring:
  • A background in technology assurance and risk management methodologies with extensive practical experience in delivering application ITGC and ITAC testing
  • A good understanding of applying operational risk in a financial services environment
  • Experience of operating in an audit, assurance or risk function
  • Experience of developing relationships with stakeholders and building positive working relationships
  • Experience of leading, coaching, and supporting team members
