Job Description

As a Splunk SME , you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimiSing our Splunk environment. You will be responsible for leveraging your deep expertise in Splunk to provide insights, develop custom solutions, and ensure the effectiveuse of Splunk across the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into scalable Splunk solutions.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimiSation of Splunk solutions to meet business needs.
  • Serve as the go-to expert for all Splunk-related queries, providing guidance and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain Splunk apps, dashboards, and custom searches to extract meaningful insights.
  • Collaborate with security and IT teams to enhance and optimize Splunk for security monitoring and incident response.
  • Integrate Splunk with Jira to streamline workflows and enhance collaboration.
  • Conduct training sessions and knowledge sharing to empower internal teams in utilizing Splunk effectively.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and recommend enhancements to keep our Splunk environment cutting-edge.
Key Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Splunk Subject Matter Expert.
  • In-depth knowledge of Splunk architecture, deployment, and optimization.
  • Expertise in creating complex Splunk searches, dashboards, and reports.
  • Hands-on experience with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) and IT Service Intelligence (ITSI).
  • Strong scripting skills, preferably in languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Solid understanding of IT and security infrastructure and protocols.
  • Experience with Jira for incident and project management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Splunk certifications, such as Splunk Certified Admin and Splunk Certified Architect.
  • Experience with integrating Splunk with other IT and security tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and Splunk integration in cloud environments.
