Job Description

Senior Interaction/Visual Designer sought by leading retail bank based in Edinburgh.**Umbrella Only - 1 day a week in the office** - Roles also available to candidates based in the South East or Manchester.ProfileWe are looking for Interaction/visual designers who are passionate advocates for great customer experiences. We need hybrid designers who are comfortable bridging the gap between UX & UI design.Responsibilities

  • Working closely with product owners, researchers, engineers and other designers to create both new products & improve existing ones
  • Working with agile project teams and key stakeholders to develop and own the delivery of human centred solutions
  • Helping to translate customer insights into designed experiences and forming a compelling story around it
  • Collaborate to help turn wireframes into beautiful, branded screens
  • Translate requirements into design specifications
  • Be responsible for creating code ready creative assets to development teams
  • Lead show & tells & visual design reviews
Requirements
  • Understand the user goals, mind-set and the context for use
  • Understand and map out intuitive steps in processes, e.g. user flows
  • Structure information delivery throughout the journey, defining page types, design goals, etc.
  • Create consistent design and interaction techniques across channels, e.g. component design
  • Proactively design with the customers needs in mind
  • Expertise in all the tools of the trade such as, Adobe,Sketch, InVision, Figma and UX testing/research platforms like UserZoom
  • Extensive experience in delivering interface designs for use in high performance environments
  • Significant experience in supporting user centred design processes and creating the material required to support user testing and concept communication
  • Wireframes, prototypes and style guides will come naturally to you
  • Experience in delivering pixel perfect UI screen designs
  • Comfortable working with existing design layout and element styles to create a consistent experience
  • Working knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards
