The main purpose of this role is to provide forestry related consultancy and management services to farmers,estates and other clients. This would typically involve woodland creation, forest design, management planning, surveying and mapping, grant applications (especially the Forestry Grant Scheme), felling licence applications, budgeting, organising timber sales,managing woodland operations and Environmental Impact Assessments. The role holder will also mentor and help develop a small number of graduate consultants within the Forestry & Woodlands Team, develop profitable new business, and manage their own projectsto ensure they are delivered profitably, timeously and to a high standard.Applicants should possess a degree in forestry or a closely related subject.
