Job Description

Sales Manager Location: EdinburghHours: Monday-Friday, 9.3017.30Salary: OTE £100,000+ per annumThe company is looking for a dynamic, driven, and ambitious Sales Manager to join them, who will fit effortlessly into the growing sales team and align with their way of doing things, where results are rewarded and the desire to keep moving forward is alwayscelebrated.This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to be a leader at an internationally well-established independent bottler and whisky broker.The team is young, multicultural and committed to supporting clients throughout their entire lifecycle of cask ownership. From the companys brand-new office in the centre of Edinburgh, they aim to create a unique and empowering working environment for theteam. Scratch beneath the surface and you will find a business that is solid, but slightly contrary. They like to do things differently and constantly seek to evolve. Their whisky casks may have been around for a long time, but they are young in many ways,ambitious and going places.ResponsibilitiesAs a Sales Manager, you will be part of a team of cask ownership advisors specialising in the sale of whisky casks to clients around the globe. You will be providing appealing whisky cask options to clients and supporting them throughout the entire lifecycleof cask ownership.

  • Liaising with clients via email and phone call to discuss whisky cask sales.
  • Chasing sales leads and following up on opportunities to generate sales by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects.
  • Maintaining relationships with existing clients by providing support, information, and guidance; recommending new cask opportunities.
  • Answering questions about cask specifications and pricing.
  • Creating opportunity and managing their own contact list effectively.
  • Working closely with design and marketing teams to offer tailored bottling service to meet clients individual needs.
  • Networking with companies in the industry.
  • Maintaining working knowledge of casks sold and keeping up to date on industry developments by reading current news or attending conferences.
QualificationsCandidates will ideally possess:
  • Extremely confident in telephone sales.
  • Proven sales experience and the ability to close.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to always go further.
  • Native-level English with other languages a plus (not essential).
  • Deep understanding of the whisky or luxury industry.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong sales planning, prospecting and organisational skills.
  • Interpersonal communication skills.
  • Full driving Licence.
This job will suit a highly motivated individual with a drive to succeed and a passion for sales.SalaryIn addition to the basic salary of £20,000, the company offer a competitive uncapped commission scheme linked directly to the sales profit.
