Venesky-Browns client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow/Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Research Analyst for an initial contract until the end of March 2022 on a rate of £240/day (inside of IR35). Due to the current circumstances thisrole will be remote based for the foreseeable future.Responsibilities:- Identifying, with others, the target audience and tailor publications to meet their needs and format requirements.- Distilling relevant information from complex scientific data (e.g. publications, scientific literature, clinical/economic data, tables and figures) and disseminate key messages to the organisation and the wider public.- Writing scientific publications/abstracts/newsletters arising from the organisations projects, to share the results with professionals and to generate awareness of the organisations products and services - Writing summaries to ensure the organisations publications are accessible and understandable to the public.- Editing and proofreading a range of publications to ensure consistency, accuracy, readability and clarity of information.Essential Skills:- First degree in a relevant biomedical or social science discipline - A post graduate qualification in research methods or a qualification with a significant practical research element - Relevant experience in health services research or evaluation methods- Specialist knowledge of one or more areas of research methodology such as the analysis and use of quantitative data, critical appraisal or qualitative research.- A good understanding of a wide range of other research skills, e.g. qualitative research methods, questionnaire development, statistical analysis and epidemiology.- Very well developed team working skills in addition to the ability to work independently and on own initiative. - Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise conflicting demands. - Excellent interpersonal skills, supported by good oral, written and presentation skills.- IT skillsIf you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
