Must possess organisational and leadership skills to manage the service. They will act as the clinical lead for ultrasound with a role that encompasses the co-ordination of the day-to-day running of the service. This involves the management of 23 ultrasound rooms located over 8 sites across Edinburgh, Mid and East Lothian.The successful candidate will have excellent people management and communication skills and will demonstrate flair and imagination in motivating, training and developing staff. Education and training are also key elements of the department.The position will be involved in the future strategy and the continuing development of Ultrasound services as it evolves to ensure a sustainable and resilient service.Post is based at Simpson Ultrasound Department at Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.Applications are invited from holders of a DMU or PgDIP in Medical Ultrasound.Must have current HCPC or equivalent registration.This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
