Job Description

Principal / Associate Electrical Design Engineer Edinburgh (Remote work)Up to £80,000Electrical Design Specialist sought after by a specialist Data Centre consulting firm dedicated to Mission Critical M&E and IT Engineering. They have a global reach built on thought leadership, design innovation, future thinking and sustainability.Distinguished by the calibre of its data centre experts and depth of design experience, they consistently provide optimised solutions for some of the most technically challenging engineering projects. The successful electrical engineer will deliver design solutions to a 30 MW data centre in the UK.Responsibilities:

  • You will be focused on detailed engineering designs for the electrical systems for major data centres
  • Deliver engineering designs and specifications in-line with the client brief,
  • Complete due diligence surveyors for clients when acquiring new facilities,
  • Undertake feasibility studies & reports on data centre facilities,
  • Research & present new ideas around improving Electrical System performance in facilities,
  • Act as the client representative ensuring technical compliance during design & construction,
    • Requirements
  • Due to the Role being remote work, The Successful Engineer will be required to be technically capable and able to work remotely efficiently
  • will hold a relevant degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Proven experience as an electrical design engineer with expertise gained working on data centre or similar mission critical facilities
  • Either hold CEng status or be on route to gaining,
