Job Description

Valeco Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with our established client who have been serving Scottish Communities since 1859 and we are delighted to be hiring a permanent Senior Payroll Administrator to join their team in Edinburgh based at theirHead Office.The Offer

Working 8.30am until 5pm based at their Head Office in Newbridge, our client can offer you a permanent position with a start before Christmas.What will you be doing
  • Processing Weekly payroll in a busy payroll environment using Advanced Business Solution (Openpoeple) Software (3600 employees).
  • Process 4 weekly Pension Payrolls.
  • You will be responsible for running your own section of the payroll.
  • Ensuring all payments and deductions are implemented in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Deal with a variety of different employee contracts and pay arrangements.
  • Carry out full start to finish Payroll including new starters, leavers, maternity, paternity, sick pay etc.
  • Produce and Compile Management Reports.
  • Deal with Payroll related queries
  • Work as part of a Team of 4 and provide cover for other members of the Payroll Team during holidays and absence periods.
  • Assist with implementing and testing of our new WFM system.
  • Process 4 weekly pension payrolls.
Here is what experience we require for this hire:
  • Experience and knowledge of processing large volume, multi- sited payroll.
  • Knowledge of pension schemes and processing pension payroll would be advantageous.
  • Experience of Computerised Payroll Accounting Methods.
  • Strong IT skills, good knowledge of Excel is important (data manipulation - pivot tables and v-lookups etc).
  • Solid Knowledge of HMRC legislation, pensions and tax.
  • Communication Skills both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and ability to plan & organise your workload.
  • CIPP qualified or working towards.
