Job Description

Mechanical Fitter 12-month Contract 12 hour Shifts 7.30 - 7.30 Rate £24.78 PAYE Location EdinburghThe Role A great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical fitter to be part of a successful maintenance engineering team within a Fine Chemical manufacturing plant in Edinburgh.Main Areas of Responsibility

  • Maintenance, breakdown repair and installation of the following: -
Process plant - vessels, pumps, centrifuges, ovens etc.Utilities plant - boilers, compressors etc.Safety Equipment - safety valves, bursting discs, pressure gauges.Environmental Equipment - scrubbers, incinerators.Pipework & Glass equipment
  • Be competent in use of site ERP system (training will be given),
  • Ensure work carried out in safe manner in accordance with site permit system and in accordance with quality system, to cGMP standard as detailed in site SOPs.
  • Participate in section efficiency improvements, as agreed.
  • Liaise with staff across the site at all levels of responsibility.
