Lead Business AnalystDuration - 6 MonthLocation - Edinburgh / Remote Summary My high-profile banking client is looking for a lead business analyst to join their team based in Edinburgh on a hybrid Basis (1 day a month on site) on an initial 6 Month contract with chance of extensions. As Lead Business Analyst youll be responsible for the requirements elicitation, analysis, process design and solution design for a medium sized product and/or project. Youll use Business Analysis tools and techniques to support the Project Manager to identifyand understand the business need, analyse, and prioritise the requirements, through to assessing, designing, testing and implementing agreed solutions.About you:You have excellent analytical skills, you are comfortable with data and have a structured understanding of processes and business procedures.Youre a dynamic and adaptable individual who can use and learn new skills and knowledge in varying circumstances and confident providing complex analytical, research advice, recommendations and using your own judgement.Capable of working in pressured and challenging situations, youre calm, structured and a reassurance to colleagues and partners.As a natural facilitator and decision-maker, youll enable collaboration across all fields and across all partner groups.Youll be a capable negotiator, analytical thinker and problem solver who will influence positively.A natural leader wholl mentor and support colleagues to deliver best in class remediation and rectification activity.Demonstrating similar values and behaviours to our Groups and encouraging this in team members.What we need from you:-Experience of working on Rectification & Remediation projects.-Excellent knowledge/understanding of OKYC.-Experience of collating Client data directly with clients and 3rd party suppliers.-Knowledge of Card services or Cardnet would be beneficial but not essential.-Solid understanding of business analysis and business architecture methodologies and techniques and their practical application-Exposure to skills from multiple subject areas such as Operating Model, Process Design, Digital and Technology-Exposure to systems thinking, business architecture and change delivery-Excellent investigative skills, able to identify root causes and quantify business and client impact.-Evidence of maintaining internal and external networks to source data and information to enable timely recommendations and advice-Evidence of managing a team of BAs, being a mentor and coach whilst handling a project of work-Evidence of Engaging and influencing partners, anticipating, clarifying and shaping requirements for the purpose of optimising business resultsAdditional Skills/Experience of Data Analyst would also be a benefit:-Understanding of MI reporting systems and associated processes.-Experience of working in a data-focussed role within LBG.-SQL skills to query data from various sources including the Group Data Warehouse.-Excellent analytical skills.-Ability to use of a wide range of software tools to facilitate data investigation and data provision* *
