Nature in Scotland has suffered from centuries of exploitation which has resulted in massive and widespread loss of wildlife and habitats. Our beautiful and diverse landscapes, stunning coastline and incredible marine ecosystems have suffered through changesto agriculture, forestry, infrastructure, urban development and industrialisation. While some habitat loss and degradation has slowed over the past 20 years, so much more can still be done to help preserve these amazing places and the species that inhabitthem. As Scotlands biggest wildlife conservation charity, the Scottish Wildlife Trust is a group of dedicated, close-knit staff who genuinely want to make a difference to Scotlands natural environment. For over 50 years, the Scottish Wildlife Trust has workedwith its members, partners and supporters in pursuit of its vision of healthy, resilient ecosystems supporting Scotlands wildlife and people. With 90% of Scotlands population living within just 10 miles of a Scottish Wildlife Trust reserve, these places are managed to benefit both people and wildlife. The work of the Trust is varied across major species and landscape projects such as protectingOspreys, peatland restoration and the reintroduction of Atlantic woodlands on a landscape scale. The charity also manages wildlife reserves and delivers education work and campaigns for nature. Are you inspired by the work of the Scottish Wildlife Centre and passionately believe in its mission If so, could you be its next Individual Giving ManagerThis is a fantastic role which you can really get your teeth into.
