Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a HR Administrator for a 6 month contract on a salary of £23,188 per annum. This role will be hybrid working – currently 2 days in the office and 3 fromhome.Responsibilities:- Creating and maintaining employee records on the payroll and HR systems- Administration of staff contractual changes- Administration of maternity, paternity and shared parental leave- Absence administration – sickness and other leave such as unpaid leave- Responding to queries in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and recording information to assist with process monitoring and continuous process improvement- Work with the HR Officer to support projects to improve performance, remove waste and focus on continuous process improvementEssential Skills:- Effective and open communication skills.- Excellent planning and organisational skills with ability to keep sight of and meet deadlines.- Able to work well within a diverse team to support colleagues and managers within the HR Unit and the wider organisation.- Able to highlight potential improvements in processes.- Understands Data Protection and Confidentiality within the workplace.- Knowledge of the types of data that HR typically handles and maintains.- Has a proactive approach to keeping knowledge up to date.- Knowledge of full employee life cycle.- Experience of HR administration.- Experience of working within a busy customer focussed environment and providing consistent and accurate advice.- Has used a variety of IT packages and IT systems effectively.- Proven experience in ITrent system.If you would like to hear more about these opportunities please get in touch.
