Job Description

Role: FPGA Engineer Location: EdinburghTerm: Contract (6 Months)- Potential to be extended Hourly Rate: £50-60 Per Hour Hybrid Working Opportunity A global communications company who I represent are hiring a FPGA Engineer to join their team to work on a exciting initial 6 Month project. As the FPGA Engineer you will be helping with the design of a range of Hardware Products whilst ensuring that the designshave appropriate test coverage. If you looking for a exciting challenge in FPGA Engineering then please apply here. As the FPGA Engineer you will have the following key skills:

  • Full product lifecycle involvement from early conceptual studies through to manufacturing support post-release
  • Work closely with a variety of different departments within the engineering team to ensure customers expectations area met
  • Develop solutions for FPGA-based robotics systems and embedded control systems, using Intel processor + FPGA
  • Develop optimized reference platforms for broad distribution of robotics solutions using a mix of FPGA SoC development skills
As the FPGA Engineer your responsibilities will include:
  • Experience taking FPGA designs through the complete development life cycle, including integration onto target hardware.
  • Experience performing integration/debug of FPGA solutions in hardware.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skillsa team player who is able to work independently and cooperatively to project milestones
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc)
  • Experienced user of relevant FPGA toolsets for Microsemi, Xilinx or Altera device families
