Denholm is excited to be partnering with a growing energy business based in Edinburgh who have an opportunity for an experienced and recently Qualified Accountant to join the team as Finance Manager. Hybrid working is available with onsite parking.You are a technically strong individual with vast experience of operational finance end to end processes. Reporting into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the finance department whilst supporting a numberof projects including overseeing invoicing. Responsibilities include management and oversight of purchase and sales ledger, purchase orders, month-end reporting, management accounting and providing regular forecast and analysis. You are a strong communicatorwho can build excellent stakeholder relationships and provide business partnering at senior management level. You will have responsibility for leading a small team, ensuring all financial compliance and control measures are delivered and met, resolving issuesas they arise. As part of the role, you will support the delivery of ad hoc projects and add process improvement when appropriate.You will ideally be a fully qualified finance professional who holds a professional accounting qualification including CIMA, ACCA, ICAS or equivalent. You have experience of working within a corporate environment with knowledge and understanding of UK accountingstandards. You are an effective communicator with the ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and team members. You are a self-starter who can use your own initiative to deliver and achieve objectives. Youwill ideally have prior experience of leading and mentoring others.
