Job Description

Reed Finance are currently supporting one of our clients in the Manufacturing Sector to support in recruiting their next Finance Manager.This role is come through internal promotion and my client is looking to move quickly on a strong Qualified Accountant.Reporting into the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be fully responsible for the on-time completion of the monthly management accounts, group complianceincluding VAT and tax packs.Key Duties

  • Overseeing the month end financial closure including co-ordination of ledger close, reconciliation and transactional processes within an ERP system.
  • Monthly reporting of the relevant P&L & KPI performance measures to Senior Management teams including variance analysis
  • Monitoring the ERP systems operational aspects of GRNI, Purchase Order liabilities and Supplier Returns to ensure accuracy
  • Setting, monitoring, and maintaining relevant Standard Costs inclusive of Inventory analysis
  • Continuous improvement projects focussed on internal controls and procedures within the business that impact payables aspects of Purchase Ledger, Payments and Cashflow, for example Fuel Cards and Credit Cards.
  • Implementing improvements to the management accounting systems to bring further alignment in the use of Cost Centres across 3x separate entities
  • Implementing improvements in the Consolidation of the 3x entities and the subsequent reporting into Group accounting system
  • Maintaining internal cost control processes in line with Delegation of Authority
  • 13x week Cashflow forecasting and monthly P&L / Balance Sheet re-forecasting
Candidate
  • Chartered Accountant
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • ERP and accounting systems knowledge
  • Advanced Excel
