Job Description

Three Bridges Recruitment are on the lookout for a finance assistant aiming to work for a large company on a part-time basis. We are proud to be working with an Edinburgh based professional services company who are currently recruiting for a finance assistant.This role would offer a great deal of flexibility as there would only be 17.25 working hours a week and would be based in the central Edinburgh office. This role would initially be a 6 month fixed-term contract.Why work hereThis is a fantastic role with benefits on offer of:

JobThe role of Accounts Assistant will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following:
  • Process Purchase Ledger invoices
  • Checking and processing employee expenses
  • Process BACs runs
  • Liaise with suppliers and deal with enquiries to ensure correct payments are made
  • Support Accountant with Payroll and pension preparation and filing
  • Support Accountant with the maintaining Cash book
  • Preparation and processing of technical functions to maintain finance KPIs
  • Process income postings in line with current service level agreement
  • Process and maintain weekly and monthly direct debits and sales invoice income
  • Perform accuracy checks of nominal ledger postings to ensure integrity of data
  • Reconcile income received and maintain associated cash books
  • Raise invoices in relation to Rechargeable Repairs and any adhoc invoices
  • Maintain Sales Ledger debtors on a monthly basis and highlight any issues in line with finance service standards and KPI
YouAs an Accounts Assistant you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following:
  • Be able to apply great attention to detail when inputting data
  • Have a knowledge of general bookkeeping duties
  • Be a good communicator
  • Have experience ideally in this field or a relevant finance qualification (HNC or higher)
