Our clients look to us for guidance and support with maintenance of their existing estate as well as planning and executionof IT change; youll be bringing your skills and experience to help them mature their capabilities to align technology and business strategies.About YouYou have already developed a pragmatic outlook and know that Enterprise Architecture is as much understanding the business on their own terms as it is defining and managing a technology estate. You have been around long enough to have made mistakes - quitea lot of them! - but youve learned from them and can recognise when someone else is about to do the same and course-correct.You have a track record of working with senior stakeholders across the organisation and understand the importance of speaking to them in their own language, recognising individual viewpoints to address concerns. You have successfully brought the IT-scepticand the technology-minded together, to the measurable benefit of both.You have a variety of approaches in your toolkit and use them effectively to understand business need, determine the required change and oversee its implementation to deliver business value. Were talking market knowledge, requirements gathering, capabilitymapping, vendor selection and achievable roadmaps, just for starters.You might have started in software engineering, or in infrastructure, or in business analysis - or taken any other route. You dont have to have worked for a consulting firm to be a good Consultant. What matters is that you have honesty, integrity and aflair for problem solving. You enjoy working closely with clients and know that hard truths must be tempered with solutions; its ok to tell someone they dug the hole they’re in if you’re offering them a ladder to climb out.You have a heads-up approach, look for the bigger picture, recognise and shape opportunities. You understand the commercial aspects of Consulting and look forward to being a key contributor to BJSS business development - writing proposals and presentingsolutions to prospective clients.Some of the experience were looking for you to demonstrate:

• Architecture - youll have worked with some or all of SOA, Microservices, EDA, and know the impacts of adopting Cloud

• Agile Solution Delivery - youre comfortable with Agile/Continuous Architecture approaches and understand that one size doesn’t fit all

• Integration - youve experienced different integration options, such as an ESB, ETL, P2P, and know the benefits and pitfalls

• Cloud - youre familiar with legacy migration and cloud-native approaches for at least one of AWS, Azure and GCP

• Data - you know quality data is the lifeblood of an organisation and have experience in Information & Data Modelling and Standards, Metadata Management, Data Condition and Quality

• Governance - youve been responsible for setting up and chairing review boards, design authorities or other governance approaches

• Service Management - youre familiar with the concepts of ITIL, SIAM; you understand the benefits of Service Blueprints and Service Design Wrappers

• Vendor and Supplier Management - you can objectively review supplier delivery teams, contracts and commercial structures; youve led vendor selections

• EA Frameworks - youre at least aware of Zachman and TOGAF, LeanIX, iServer, Archimate
