Job Description

Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer - Graduate / Early Career LevelWe have an immediate temporary vacancy for a Data Analyst to work for our client who is a global leader in medical technology, services & solutions. You will be a member of the Algorithm and AI R&D team, developing software for their Digital Health and AI groupat their facility in Edinburgh. You will participate in the collection, collation and analysis of clinical data in support of their algorithm and AI development activities. You will also be responsible for testing, documentation and maintenance of clinical data. This is a key role in enablingthe team to move fast and develop novel AI & algorithmic solutions for next generation medical devices. The position will involve working closely with colleagues both in the UK and USA. Responsibilities Include:

  • Must be a team player with willingness to learn and grow.
  • Collecting, collating, cleaning and exploring data sets and building data transformation pipelines.
  • Play the role of a data analytics engineer to perform testing of our algorithms and AI technologies
  • Work closely with Data and Algorithm scientists to understand the work and provide support
  • Collaborate with the software delivery team
  • Participate in technology reviews
  • Create, maintain and manage documentation required in the performance of duties
Must Have: Minimum Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in relevant discipline including Data Analytics, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or Machine Learning / AI
  • Programming expertise in Python and/or Matlab
  • Flexibility - you can independently solve problems as they arise, but are comfortable asking for help when you need it
  • Excellent standard of written and spoken English
Nice to Have
  • PhD level degree
  • Experience with C, C++ or C#
  • Relevant experience in industry
  • Knowledge of SQL
