Job Description

Cathcart Energy are looking for an Offshore Wind Farm Commissioning Manager for an Offshore Wind Farm in Germany. The role is for a fixed-term contract for 6 months (possibly could be extended to 12 months)Job profile:

  • Plan and define the needed processes and activities for the Commissioning Works for the Kaskasi Offshore Windfarm Project (Turbine, Transition Piece Equipment, OSS, Cable testing, interface to TenneT, SCADA and Communication to existing Assets, O&M systems and control room, etc.)
  • Review and update time planning for those activities, aligned with all Packages and clarification of logistic concepts with the logistics team
  • Adopt the existing electrical switching procedures (safety rules) with Helgoland O&M teams (NSO, Amrumbank)
  • Define processes of who is when responsible for electrical operations within KAS
  • Align and coordinate with O&M the needed hand over documentation and the hand over process
  • Permit to Work: Align with PtW team on commissioning aspects for the PtW process
  • Create/update manpower resource planning and manage the individual Commissioning Engineers
  • Plan and coordinate services on all assets in operations until hand over
    • Your profile
  • Technical, preferably electrotechnical University education or "Elektro Meister / Techniker" with experience in MV and HV grids
  • Experience in Offshore Windfarm Commissioning activities or similar complex works
  • Ability to lead a team of Engineers and technicians
  • High Voltage switching authority acc. to German legislation "Schaltberechtigung" for HV systems is preferred.
  • English and German-speaking and reading fluently
  • Being a good communicator and team worker
  • Ability and fitness to work offshore as well as at height.
