Job Description

The Role: Business Consultant - Wealth AdviceM&G Wealth Advice has an Ecosystem in place which encompasses clients, advisers, leads etc which need to be managed efficiently to ensure we enable growth of our business. One area that drives this growth is recruitment of advisers into our ecosystem via ourPractice Buyout option (PBO). The individual will have a number of responsibilities around the administration of our PBO as well as management of our Client Bank. The PBO will be key to the growth of our business and the individual will work day to day with the PBO manager to ensure we promote and manage effectively the operation. M&G Wealth Advice has an extensive bank of clients which need to be managed to ensure that we are managing our client and regulatory responsibilities. M&G Wealth Advice has three types of clients (Relationship, Transactional and Potential), all of which needto be owned by the advisers - the Business Consultant will ensure that all these categories across M&G Wealth Advice are being managed in accordance with the client bank strategy. Key responsibilities:

  • To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance (PBO and Client Bank)controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment and customer outcomes.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders within the business to ensure that the client bank/PBO process is robust and being adhered to.
  • Manage the fulfilment, remuneration and reallocation process controls so that the client bank/PBO strategy is being fulfilled.
  • To prepare PBO valuations - calculating and providing guidance on internal and external valuations
  • Client bank/data requests - helping advisers build up a sale prospectus, gathering MI needed for retirement planning / exit conversations
  • Supporting PBO Manager with matching buyers and sellers in group
  • Preparing and management of Adviser due diligence
  • Maintaining and keeping up to date central retirement tracker across all exit schemes
  • General Adviser queries (succession planning related) from internal & external advisers and h/o staff
  • To supervise the preparation and issue of client bank management information reporting for all sales teams and any other stakeholder or interested party
  • Attending regular ecosystem leaver/joiner calls on behalf of PBO/Client Bank team
  • Following up with relevant internal and external teams to ensure all steps of the PBO sale process are taking place in a timely manner (i.e agency transfers, revenue transfers, client movement)
  • Assisting PBO manager with preparation for exit planning conversations / presentations
Key skills and experience required:
  • Strong communicator (Internal/External)
  • Good experience in Excel
  • Knowledge of sales/ lead management tools would be an advantage (IRESS/SF/IO)
  • Good data analysis background
  • Good operational /process /system problem solving
  • Good programme and project management capabilities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to multitask and comply with tight deadlines
  • Confident, assertive and capable of challenge
  • Accurate and exceptional attentional to detail
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adapts research and findings from analysis undertaken to different audiences
  • Natural affinity for extracting relevant information from vast amounts of data
  • Aptitude for mathematical and analytical activities
  • Demonstrates understanding of pricing proposals and models with commercial implications
