Job Description

Audit Associate, Independent CA Firm Edinburgh Up to £27,000 P.A. - plus ACCA/ICAS study support Full-time or part-timeThe Company This well established accountancy firm has no problem in differentiating themselves from the competition due to their exceptional reputation, customer service and investment in staff learning & development. Standing still is not an option for this firm andthey are constantly embracing ways to modernise and move forward to ensure they are classified as the market leader in Scotland.The Role The position of Audit Associate will ideally be a driven and passionate Part Qualified Accountant with some experience within External Audit. You will report to the Audit Manager and will be given unlimited exposure whilst also being presented with the abilityto propel your career forward through the firms clear progression path.

  • Assisting with the audit process from planning and completing fieldwork through to completion and sign-off
  • Acting as Audit Senior on smaller audits - taking responsibility for the full audit process
  • Preparation of financial accounts
  • Point of contact for the day-to-day communication with clients
  • Completing audit and accountancy assignments for a diverse client base including commercial organisations, charities, housing associations and pension schemes
  • Liaising with Managers, Directors and Partners as well as other departments
On Offer:The full-time salary will be up to £28k depending on experience of the candidate. The firm is willing to provide full study support and offers flexible working hours working remotely.Requirements:
  • At least 2 years experience of working in an accounting firm - essential
  • Be Part-Qualified with ICAS or ACCA - preferred
  • Have a strong interest/desire for working in Audit
  • Be highly ambitious, organised and professional
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills required
  • IT literate - Microsoft Office, CCH, Sage, Xero, CaseWare
