Our client is looking to hire an Assistant Accountant and are willing to pay £28,000 - £32,000 per annum.The CompanyThis company has an exceptional track record of setting and exceeding industry standards. Moreover, the business is known for having excellent staff retention - which can be attributed to an inclusive and supportive working culture.The RoleThe role of Assistant Accountant will report into the Finance Manager with a dotted line to the Director in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be involved in assisting with the production of quarterly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, varianceanalysis, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT as well as ad hoc reporting.You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties:* Assisting with the production of quarterly management accounts* Assisting with budgeting and forecasting including variance analysis and commentary* Balance sheet reconciliations* Cash flow forecasting and other banking duties* Assisting with indirect tax, compliance, and audit requirements* Ad hoc reporting for clientsThe PersonThe successful candidate must have strong month end experience and a excellent grasp of fundamental accounting principles (debits and credits etc.). Someone who is studying the Accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA) would also be beneficial. On OfferThe role of Assistant Accountant is offering a salary of £28,000 - £32,000.
