Job Description

General asset management with Modelling / Valuation skills- Job DescriptionGrow your infrastructure financial modelling and valuation experience in Macquarie Asset Managements Green Investment Group. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure into the project and portfolio management within the renewable energy and asset investmentspace. As an Executive you will be responsible for maintaining and updating financial models alongside a valuation team in India and report on our Green Investment Groups principal investments and fund investments. Close cooperation will be required with Asset Managers,deal teams, senior management, Health & Safety, Finance teams and our Risk Department. You will deliver detailed quarterly operational and valuation updates to the Macquarie Capital senior management team. From this, you will proactively analyse the impactof individual project risk, regulatory changes and the economic environment on the portfolio. To be successful in this role, you will have at least 2-3 years experience gained in an investment banking/project finance environment or an advisory or private equity firm working with infrastructure or renewable energy clients. Ideally you will have someexposure and interest in the renewable energy industry. You will be able to demonstrate strong skills in providing financial modelling, risk analysis, financial reporting. Additionally, the role will involve drafting reports to senior managers and investment committees/boards, analysing project status and making recommendations for action. There may be some travel involved to project sites on a monthly basis. One of the main responsibilities of the role involves:

  • Working closely with transaction director and asset managers in reviewing and updating financial models as required due to market or contract changes
  • Manage, update and review regular asset valuations papers including running sensitivities as required
  • Support lead asset manager with the oversight and management of assets including:
    • regular assessment of construction or operational accounts and budgets,
    • lender and hedging management
    • key performance indicators,
    • risk registers,
    • health and safety indicators
    • green reporting data
    • ensure good corporate governance and record keeping
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
  • Strong project finance financial modelling experience
  • Existing infrastructure asset valuation experience
  • A self-motivated, committed work ethic
  • Keen attention to detail and a drive for high quality delivery
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and strong prioritisation skills
  • Being able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to deliver within tight timelines
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills giving you the ability to interact with various stakeholders.
