Job Description

  • Provide first line maintenance and technical support of AV facilities inall classrooms, teaching and event spaces.
  • Work alongside the AV Manager and Senior AV Engineer to ensurethat suitable technical support is provided for all school events andexternal lets.
  • Assist in the installation of AV and IT hardware, e.g. Prometheaninteractive panels, display screens/ digital signage, sound and lightingsystems, projectors, WiFi access points and CCTV often with limitedtimescales.
  • Provide support and training on the use of AV equipment and audio,video and display software.
  • Assist in the development and production of recorded and liveproducts which can be used to promote the school.
  • Any other duties as required by the IT manager or AV Manager.

  • Experience of engaging and communicating with a diverse range of people
  • High level of communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • High degree of problem solving skills
  • Ability to work across Mac OS and Windows platforms
  • The post holder has a high degree of self-motivation, exceptional attention to detail, possesses strong organisational skills and is confident in their decision making.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
  • High degree of self- motivation
Future Prospects:
  • Discussed on completion of the Apprenticeship
