Our ambitious and exciting vision is to work at local, national, and international levels, leading innovation and sustainable development in agriculture and rural sectors.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Admissions Officer to join the Registry team in Edinburgh.The purpose of this post is to provide administrative support to the Admissions function, primarily for International MSc courses, to help ensure effective and efficient systems, processes and procedures are in place and implemented, including fair and consistentselection of applicants. Liaison with internal and external applicant stakeholders as appropriate to help ensure SRUC’s process for application and admissions is sector leading. Compliance checking of any applications dealt with through a third party, to ensurequality and transparency.Duties/Responsibilities will include:Assist in the development, delivery and administration (either directly or through other staff) in following key areas:• The applications function e.g. through development of selection/decision-making processes, direct and/or indirect (e.g. via UCAS) interaction with applicants and regular and adhoc management reporting.• A fair and consistent application and admission process e.g. to meet SRUC and SFC targets, fee income generation and retention targets.• Ensuring admission processes are contextualised as required, and meet all relevant guidelines and protocols.• Maintenance of records of admissions into SRUC e.g. in order to meet the reporting requirements of HESA, FES and/or any other external stakeholders, and enable students’ smooth enrolment and transition to SRUC.• Ensuring the equality and diversity impact of the application and admission process and associated material is fully considered.The post-holder will perform additional duties as directed from time to time by the Admissions Lead.
