My client is a leading Secondary school, seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to join their dedicated team.As the Human Resources Manager, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and supportive work culture within the school. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources, from recruitment and employee relations to performance managementand policy development. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who eager to contribute to the success of school life. The role works closely with the Headteacher and SLT, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. You’ll review all current process and procedures, ensuring that the HR team of three deliver the best service across the school. You’llhave the freedom to lead on new HR initiatives, with a focus on long term strategies of the school around retention, reward, wellbeing and work force planning. You’ll look to improve all HR reporting, making better use of HR data to aid in long term decisionmaking. You’ll work with department heads and oversee the performance appraisal process and support professional development initiatives to enhance staff skills and capabilities. You’ll coordinate the recruitment process, ensuring all processes are adheredto including the statutory background checks and onboarding. Supported by the HR team, you’ll manage any ER issues as they arise and support line managers with any staffing concerns.Sector experience is not a requirement, moreover it’s a candidate’s ability to raise the profile of HR across the school, leaning on relevant previous experience of instilling HR best practice. CIPD qualification at either level 5 or level 7 would be required.The role is offered as a full time position, with the term time working element to be based at the school site, but when the school is closed for holidays, the vast majority of those weeks will be working from home.
