Job Description

Our local authority client has a vacancy for the role of an EMERGENCY PLANNING OFFICER (RESILIENCE ADVISOR), details as followsJob PurposeThis role involves the Emergency Planning Team working with key internal and external stakeholders to provide resilience to the organisation.Responsibilities

  • The Emergency Planning Officer will have responsibility for maintaining and improving emergency planning and business continuity response arrangements, including the updating of plans and administrative documents.
  • They will be able to work with staff at all levels and in a wide range of organisations, including the emergency services, voluntary sector and businesses.
  • Emergency Planning Officer will also be required to participate on a on call rota to respond to emergencies.
  • You will report to the Emergency Planning Manager and will be working towards embedding the Resilience Standards for London within the organisation, while working to maintain and improve the emergency planning and business continuity arrangements, throughtraining and exercising.
Essential Requirements
  • Must have experience in the Resilience field of Emergency Planning and Business Continuity.
  • Must have excellent project management skills.
  • Must be enthusiastic and highly motivated person.
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and presentation (both oral and written) skills, be committed to working as part of a team and be able to work to tight deadlines, while balancing different deadlines and priorities.
