Job Description

NHS Complaints OfficerLocation: BirminghamJob Type: TemporaryDuration of booking: Expected to last up to 3 monthsProposed start date: ASAPSector: HealthcareBase: HospitalBand: 5Pay Rates: £14.40-£17.44 paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour depending on skill and experience*Please note our client only allows direct engagement and therefore, the successful candidate will be paid paye inclusive of holiday paySome flexibility may be permitted around the core hours, and some home working may be facilitated once they have learned the role and are competentWorking Days and Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, 37.5 hoursTravelling for work purposes: Needed to across site meetings in BirminghamDuties

  • Co-ordinating complaints investigations and responses in line with the Trusts Patient Relations Policy and Procedures, which are underpinned by national legislation.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date complaints information on the complaints database (Datix Web).
  • Organising, attending and facilitating complaints local resolution meetings as required.
  • Write professional complaint responses, ensuring good grammar, consistent approach and a professional style suitable for the reader, before gaining approval via the quality assurance process in readiness for the Chief Executive to sign.
Systems experienced required:Portal might be helpful but not essential and / orPICS might be helpful but not essential and /orDatix might be helpful but not essential
