Job Description

This could be an exciting opportunity for you to join a growing local flatglass roof lights manufacturing business that focuses on delivering great products to its customers - first time, every time!Fortunately our client is well established with an existing professional client base that will need waking up in terms of reaching out to them to refresh the relationship. Clients are invariably architects in the main as well as trade, surveyors, distributors,and builders. Most of the sales activity will be from the office as opposed to on the road.Our client is looking for a full-time Salespersonto join our busy Sales Team of approximately 5 people, and you will be reporting to the Sales Director. You will be a proactive part of the specification sales team effectively identifying and pursuing newsales opportunities.They are looking to hear from individuals who can evidence successful sales and account management experience within the manufacturing industry (ideally in the glazing industry), as well as possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Develop and promote technical specification sales through proactive use of a comprehensive CRM system, CPD delivery and follow up. Focusing on architect practices, specifiers, design studios, developers, and installers.
  • Confident in pricing and negotiation on key customer contracts/orders as well as negotiating overarching commercial agreements where necessary.
  • Experience of analysing customer purchasing patterns, product mix and margin performance to establish trends and provide accurate forecasting.
  • Ability to work closely with key customers to understand the requirements of their business and ensure our commercial and service offers are aligned with their requirements.
  • Identification of ways to increase existing product offering and introduce new products to key accounts and identify opportunities for additional business.
  • Valid UK driving license.
Requirements:
  • Experience and understanding of the architectural roof glazing industry would be a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to negotiate and secure orders, dealing with customers up to Director Level.
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively.
  • Thorough awareness of project risk and margin criteria.
  • Smart appearance and confident sales and presentation skills.
  • Excellent spoken English and flexible communication skills are required, as interfacing with customers of various backgrounds
  • Excellent written and reporting skills.
  • Strong IT skills, especially the Microsoft Office suite

Working hours are 8.30am to 4.45pm Monday - Thursday, 08.30am to 4.00pm Friday.
