Job Description

Employer description:Creative Asset are a forward-thinking, family-run digital web Agency, based in Nottingham, UK.Creative Asset specialise in tailoring bespoke web & digital marketing packages for the organisations they work with. Using their knowledge, experience and outside-the-box thinking, Creative Asset deliver strategic solutions that work for not only todaybut will continue to work as their clients grow and evolve.Overview:As part of their continual investment into their staff and expertise, Creative Asset are now looking to recruit an Apprentice Software Developer.The apprentice will work alongside the team to converting customer needs into functional and non-functional technical requirements.Key responsibilities: [can include, but not be limited to the following day-to-day duties:]

  • Front-end website development
  • Writing and editing HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Working with WordPress
  • Supporting customers with tech issues and de-bugging websites
  • Setting up and configuring email accounts
  • Advising on technical queries and questions
  • Problem-solving tech and code issues
  • Website optimisation
  • Answering client support queries
  • Working with spreadsheets
  • Supporting the rest of the team
What we are looking for:To be suitable for this position, you MUST bring to the table:
  • Have completed a Level 3 apprenticeship or completed an A-level in a technology field and/or have worked within a software developer role previously.
  • A desire to have a career in Tech
  • Skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Be comfortable and happy with self-led learning
  • Interested in the latest web technologies and keeping up to date with industry best practice in your own time
  • Understanding of a variety of website platforms and technology
  • Good communication skills
  • Eager to learn, self-motivated and driven
  • Excellent at problem-solving
  • Humble and down-to-earth attitude
  • Excited by future opportunities to progress with the company
  • Commitment to the full 18-month apprenticeship
Entry requirements:The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:
  • The learner must have completed a Level 3 Software Development Apprenticeship with QA or have an equivalent qualification with another training provider
  • OR an A-level in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) subject and a successful completion of our aptitude test
  • OR a BTEC Diploma in IT and a successful completion of our aptitude test
  • OR 2 years experience in a relevant role and successful completion of our aptitude test
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.Find out more here: https://Qualifications/UKQRS/Default.aspxSalary:£14,000 - £18,500 per annum.Working week:Initially, will be 30 hours a week.
