Job Description

Management Accountant Salary - up to £42K dependant on experience Location: Nottingham with hybrid working T2M Resourcing are working on behalf of a global market leading manufacturing business who have an opportunity for a Management Accountant to join their team. As Management Accountant you will work closely with the management team to effectively analyse and report on the financial performance of the business to drive improvements.As Management Accountant your remit will include the following:

  • Review weekly OVARs (Manufacturing Order variances) & Purchase Price variances
  • Help prepare the month end accounts: -
o Reconcile the stock reports to the General Ledger.o Prepare journals.o Review overheads and provided analysis of the variance vs Plan & Forecast.o Provide analysis of Manufacturing variances & PPVs.o Report monthly figures in accordance with the Group Accounting Timetable.
  • Complete a monthly reconciliation for Fixed Assets and Inventory.
  • Perform monthly overhead reviews with the departmental managers/site managers.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly forecasts and the annual budgeting process, this includes overheads, manufacturing variances & PPVs.
  • Produce monthly reports for the site including: -
o Departmental cost reports vs Plan & Forecast.o Manufacturing variance & PPV reports
  • Assist in additional Y/End reports.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiency within the business.
To be successful as Management Accountant you will have the following skills and attributes:
  • PQ/Qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels across the business
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Flexible and motivated team player with a drive to deliver and achieve in role.
  • Excellent excel skills.
