Job Description

Role: Financial AdministratorSalary: £23,000 - £25,000Contract: Permanent, 8:30am - 5:00pmLocation: Eastwood, NG16Job Purpose:The finance administrator is responsible for the financial management and administration of the company accounts.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping
  • Enter into Sage/Xero all purchase invoices, payments, sales invoices and receipts
  • Reconcile all bank accounts
  • Ensure that all sales are reconciled
  • Maintain nominal codes records
Invoice Management
  • Payment of correctly authorised invoices
  • Prepare sales invoices as instructed
  • Exercise credit control on sales invoices
  • Take payments for sales invoices through the Stripe platform
  • Review credit account applications before final approval from the Finance Manager
VAT
  • Ensure VAT is correctly analysed in Sage/Xero
  • Preparation of VAT return and payment of VAT
Other Duties:
  • Preparation of weekly sales analysis reports for the Head of Operations
  • Maintenance of the fixed asset register
  • Preparing accounts for audit and working with the auditing accountants.
  • With the Finance Manager preparing financial reports for core funders and assisting staff with other financial reports where necessary.
  • The Finance Administrator is required to fully adopt and adhere to the companys equal opportunity policy, ensuring that all learners, fellow employees and customers are treated fairly and impartially showing respect for all.
  • To maintain a professional image and enhance the companys reputation for quality and service and report immediately any genuine complaints for investigation and attention.
  • Responsible for the confidential custody of company and client information, equipment and materials.

  • Any other duties as deemed necessary by the line manager.
