Job Description

Our client is seeking a full time HR Director to join them in a not-for-profit company.This role is full time &offers hybrid working with a competitive salary. The ideal candidate will be CIPD level 7 &have experience of working as a HR Professionalin the education sector.This is an exciting &rare opportunity for a HR Professional to lead, shape &develop all aspects of HR into this new role.You will be working with the CEO &SLT as lead HR, you will be responsible for all strategic &operational aspects of HR and payroll service delivery as well as experience of compliance, safeguarding &managing risk in the education sector.You will be managing, developing, coaching, &training the HR team to implement a HR &payroll centralisation service &SLA as well as working with SLT &Head of Safeguarding to develop people strategy, compliance &safeguarding.The HR service delivery currently is for 1500 employees over 39 schools but will eventually be for over 100 schools, so this really is an exciting time to join.Thecandidate must be working with their core values, vision, &mission statement. They are a forward thinking company & open to change &digital technology to improve ways of working.As a HR Director you will have an important role in relation to people policies and practices which aim to safeguard children &young people. Ensuring that safer recruitment policy &practice is compliant with (KCSIE) all other statutory requirements &bestpractice.You will work with colleagues to develop the organisation’s recruitment &retention, &rewards &benefits strategies, including building &maintaining links with external partners.Produce reports for Trustees, Local Governing Bodies & SLTas requested.Be a source of expertise in relation to all aspects of people management in education; ensuring that relevant information is communicated to the appropriate audience/s to secure statutory compliance and manage risk.Take the lead in administering &managing the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC).Network with people professionals external to the organisation.Work with the CEO to monitor, manage and where required procure, any external Service Level Agreements pertaining to HR and payroll, including but not limited to ICT infrastructure, Occupational Health, staff benefits, recruitment, DBS processing and legalservices.Discipline, grievance and mediationAbsence management and wellbeing supportPerformance and capabilityRemuneration and terms and conditions for all employees at every levelRestructuring, TUPE and redundancyJob evaluation and equal payEquality, diversity and inclusionManaging safeguarding allegations and low level concernsSettlement AgreementsWork with colleagues to develop the organisation’s approach to learning and development, including apprenticeships and a consistent approach to recording, monitoring and reporting on CPD.Manage &deliver projects in line with delegated responsibilities, time, budget and quality parameters, raising any significant challenges to the CEO. Lead change management including TUPE transfers, growth plans &restructures.
