Our client is a well-respected House Builder based within the Midlands area benefiting from a solid and track record and strong land holding enabling sustained growth.As part of the above expansion plans coupled with forthcoming retirement, FRS have been enlisted to assist with an experienced and Qualified Finance Director with previous house building experience.This position is being recruited on a full time, permanent basis and will be based from the client’s offices in the East Midlands this role does also offer Hybrid Working 3 days per week.Role Purpose:• Provide support and challenge to the New Business team around strategy, financial and legal structure and financial reporting implications for all new business tenders• Work with the Divisional Heads of Finance to drive best practice Business Partnering• Support the CFO and CEO in implementing and maintaining medium term targets, including ownership of the Divisional 5 year forecast, budget and relevant KPIs• Oversee the financial and management reporting process for the Region• Oversee the review, strengthening and harmonisation of financial reporting and control processes across the Region. Ensure processes are delivered consistently, efficiently and in line with Group policies and best practice• Responsibility for development and succession planning within the Regional Finance team• Take a leading role across the wider Finance team to establish and enhance and develop policies, processes and systems• Act as a key Business Partner to senior stakeholders within the Region• Attend regional board meetings and other meetings as the central finance representative• Ad hoc project work / reporting as required by Group Finance, CFO and CEO.The ideal candidate will be formally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with PQE.Previous experience gained within house building or construction is essential for this position as the successful candidate will be starting with a clean slate with the requirement and expectation to assist the C Suite and Regional MD of the division establishprocesses, controls, systems building the Management Accounts / KPIs and Metrics and recruiting a whole new finance team.Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate a mix of accounting ability, leadership skills and ability to business partner and influence within a dynamic and fast paced business.Whilst candidates having previous experience operating as Finance Director is desirable, those operating as a No 2 but wishing to take a first step into a No 1 Head of Finance / FD Capacity will be consideredThis position really is a blank canvass and whilst a challenging opportunity to start, a highly competitive basic salary and wider package can be offered coupled with excellent career opportunities both short and long term.
