Job Description

This mid-sized, vibrant, and entrepreneurially led, fully integrated agency is looking to fill a pivotal role & youd be hard pushed to find a more grounded & supportive environment & it will lead into becoming an MD position.Theyve an impressive portfolio of clients which cover different business lines & audiences and will keep pushing your development, and to boot, they have an outstanding reputation for staff retention and development.The roleThis agency is smallish but has been around for over a decade and, have built up a solid reputation for integrity and value & theyre full of talented and passionate people. This has enabled them to produce a culture where your ideas are encouraged and heard& people stay around for these very reasons. Theyve grown steadily and sensibly which is a testament to their savvy, ethics and exceptional creative delivery on projects.Your key role, initially, will be to work alongside the owner, and oversee and lead an exceptional client services team, focused on creating a positive working culture that is collaborative. The additional focus of this role will be to harness relationshipswith three or four key clients and contribute to the continual development of the agency. Typical projects will range from full re-brands, innovative marketing literature through to a full range of digital projects. You will ensure the provision of excellentstandards of service to clients, paving the way for continued growth, expansion and profitability.Youll bring big ideas, craft, leadership skills, and diplomacy together to help guide your team and make it the best it can possibly be. The leader of this agency is hands-off in style, so youll have plenty of scope and rope, but at the same time they needsomeone that they can entrust with the commercial side of the role. It will also involve all recruitment of the account handling team as well as their development and training, in addition to developing the further growth of the agency. As time moves, andas your knowledge & commercial awareness builds, you will become the MD. This will most likely happen within 2-3 years so there is longevity and opportunity attached to this role. What were looking forIt is vital that you are on the up in your career and, have a real passion for marketing, combined with an excellent sense of commerciality and knowing how to help and develop a team around you. You will be joining a grounded and hardworking team, so you needto be someone that has no ego & is aware of how to get the best out of people and, be able to maintain the highest levels of client service. To succeed in this role, youll need that magic combination of being intuitive and empathetic to build solid relationships, both internally and externally, and a commercial mindset to harness and develop a client base. Youll be playing a significant role withinthe agency, and their success has been underpinned by keeping great internal relationships, so youll need to appreciate this ethos and these values. Youll be at ease with developing client accounts, from both a creative and commercial perspective, and beable to see ways of generating revenue when possible.It is essential that you have acquired a fair few years experience in an agency based role, and we are keen to hear from an Account Director who is moving up in their career & want to make the right step & not just any move. Marketers with in-house & agencyexperience will be of distinct interest, this is a long term move for someone that has that inner drive to take over the reins of an already successful agency.Whats on offerA salary of between £50 - £60,000 (which isnt set in stone) plus bonus and wider benefits & this will rise over time.
