Job Description

Lead Shift EngineerThe Role

  • Ensure management and operational department are kept up to date of issues
  • Oversee repairs/maintenance jobs are carried out by the shift
  • Repair the plant by fabricating essential components if the need arises.
  • Have a good working knowledge of the MRF and Baler electronics .
  • Diagnose the baler Hydraulic systems.
  • Be able to operate the fire pumps and isolate zones if the need arises.
  • Complete all the permits required for contractors on site.
  • Checking that contractors have valid site inductions to work on site.
  • Have a working knowledge of the controls of the baler, MRF and plasterboard facilities .
  • Have a working knowledge of the Tomra systems and can repair basic components.
  • Managing stock for the MRF as in bearings, electrical, and various consumables .
  • Keep the MRF in a clean and serviceable condition, at all times.
  • Ensure daily checks are carried out and issues reported
  • To ensure that Health and Safety on the MRF is adhered to
About YouEssential Experience:
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Single or 3 phase electrical qualifications or experience
  • Hydraulic experience
  • Welding skills
Experience that would be advantageous:
  • Experience working on MRF would be advantageous
  • IMEWPS certification would be advantageous
  • Forklift license would be advantageous
