Their goal is to maintain its stability, resilience, performance, and security, thereby enabling application and developmentteams throughout the organisation to efficiently and securely create, deliver, and oversee applications for the users.Skills required:

• Experience in cloud engineering or related positions, showcasing a track record of advancing responsibilities and leadership roles.
• Expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• A thorough grasp of cloud computing concepts, principles, and best practices.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and Configuration-as-Code (CaC) tools and methodologies.
• Comprehensive familiarity with DevOps/SRE methodologies and tools used for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment (CI/CD) within a cloud-based setting.
• A firm grasp of security best practices in cloud computing, encompassing IAM, network security, and data safeguarding.
• Effective communication and collaboration aptitude, enabling productive teamwork across various functions.
• Considerable proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Advanced expertise in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Strong Scripting and programming skills, encompassing Python, Bash, PowerShell, and similar languages.

Main responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to the cloud engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning. Lead discussions on architecture, make design decisions, and promote the adoption of best practicesin cloud platform development and operations.
• Cloud Platform Design and Implementation: Assist in designing and lead the implementation of cloud platforms and services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Team Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with stakeholders, including developers, operations staff, and management, to align cloud platform initiatives with business goals and requirements
• Cloud Infrastructure Optimisation: Continuously assess and improve the performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of the cloud infrastructure. Identify areas for enhancement and implement strategies to optimize resource usage, automateprocesses, and reduce costs.
• Security and Compliance Management: Ensure the security and compliance of the cloud infrastructure by implementing robust security measures, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• 3rd Line Incident Response and Troubleshooting: Take the lead in resolving complex technical issues and incidents related to the cloud infrastructure.
• Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
