Job Description

Role DevOps EngineerLocation London E1Salary £70,000-£90,000React & React Native/ TypeScript/MobX/ AWS, Google Cloud/AzureWe’re looking to recruit a DevOps Engineer to help our client to shape their development environments using terraform and ansible but just as comfortable managing deployment pipelines in a Kubernetes environment whilst helping developers grow. Tech Stack

  • PHP 7.2, Symfonyv3.4 (moving to v4), Node.js, Python
  • AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
  • MySQL / Aurora
  • RabbitMQ
  • ELK / EFK
  • React & React Native, TypeScript, MobX, Redux, Stylus and SASS
  • Jenkins and CircleCI
  • Behat, PHPUnit, Jest, Selenium and Detox
    • Role/ Responsibilities
  • Proactively audit the security of our systems
  • Plan for the maintainability of the infrastructure and foresee weaknesses in the setup
  • Design and build the infrastructure to support our existing and upcoming financial products
  • Administer and support our 24/7 AWS based Docker infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, resilient and performant
  • Work with our engineers to build and maintain effective CI pipelines and deployment processes
  • Identify new technologies where appropriate to improve the automation
  • Document infrastructure setup making it replicable
    • Skillset/Requirements
  • Real world experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Exposure to multiple cloud platforms - AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
  • Belief that anything and everything can be automated with code
  • Experience administering a 24/7, high profile infrastructure
  • Comfortable writing automation code in multiple scripting languages
  • Strong experience with setting up logging and monitoring
  • Comfortable reading developer code when need to dig deep
  • Recent hands on experience creating containerized deployments
  • Demonstrable experience with networks, security, load balancers, DNS, etc
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
