We have a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Plant Fitter to join the days shift (Mon to Fri 8am to 4pm) engineering team based at our East Leake site in Leicestershire. This site operates 24/7, has over 200 colleagues and produces high levelsof both plasterboard and bagged plaster.RequirementsAs Mechanical Plant Fitter you will deliver professional mechanical maintenance in order to maximise plant efficiency, by actively utilising continuous improvement techniques and delivery of the highest standards. The ideal background will have seen youworking a FMCG/Continuous Production industry, where Health and Safety is paramount. If that sounds like you, this could be the position youve been looking for!What youll be doing as Plant Fitter* Carry out planned and scheduled mechanical maintenance checks on a range of production machinery including; conveyors, silos, bulk handling equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics and pumps etc. * React to emergency breakdowns* Machinery inspections* Be involved in root cause analysis of machinery performance - investigating ongoing and repeat maintenance/production issues* Ensuring maintenance records are kept up to date.
