If this sounds like you, please read on to find out more about the Finance Forecasting Business Partner role based in East Leake, Leicestershire.The Forecasting Controller is a true business partnering role; the role purpose is to be a trusted credible partner providing insight for long term financial forecasting alighted to the long term strategy of the Programme Management Office.This role is working with our well-known brand British Gypsum the leading manufacturer of plaster and plasterboard systems at our head office in East Leake, you will work as part of a team of highly credible experts, right at the heart of the business.Saint Gobain -Winners of TOP EMPLOYER UK AND GLOBAL five years running (2016-2020)As a Finance Forecasting BP you will be tasked with:

  • Creating quality financial modelling & forecasting, giving insight to enable business planning and forecasting
  • By understanding the impacts to the business - create scenario and what if financial modelling to provide options to address strategic decisions.
  • Embrace new technology to transition to a new digital solution for forecasting and modelling. Be prepared to continually develop, implement and improve the forecasting methods as new technologies are made available.
  • Works collaboratively with the PMO to design & implement tools to ensure alignment of project plans to the financial long-term forecast and which provide insight for business decision making.
  • Responsible for the facilitation of the quarterly Capex meeting including the preparation of the presentation slides (Attendance - MD, FD, Ops Dir. & senior managers)
  • Identifies where there are gaps on capex spend to plan and gives options to close the gaps.
  • Deputises for the Planning & Strategy Financial Controller.
  • Communicates insight gained from financial information & exploring options with none finance colleagues and explaining / interpreting in business terminology.

  • Be fully qualified with CIMA or ACCA
  • Strong use of Excel date manipulation and interpretation
  • Using digital technology
  • Strong accounting knowledge and principles
  • Good knowledge of accounting rules/legislations
  • Excellent organisational skills & attention to detail
  • The ability to manage own time and work load
  • Wants to develop into a senior Finance Leadership role in the future
  • Is comfortable with some ambiguity, being a new role working with a new team (PMO), the role will evolve as the Team evolves.
  • Enjoys engaging with others and building strong working relationships.
  • Proactively provides solutions, results focussed and demonstrates ownership.
